MSBA revels in Rishav and Kyoveio’s doubles success at Yonex 3 Borders Jr Int’l Challenge

IMPHAL, Jun 2 : The Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the dynamic junior duo of Ngangom Rishav and Kyoveio Mangsuan Vemai for their historic triumph at the Yonex 3 Borders 2026 Junior International Challenge.
The competition was held at Saint Louis, France from May 29 to 31, said MSBA in a press release.
In the thrilling and gruelling U19 Men’s doubles final, the 5th seeded Indian pair displayed immense grit, tactical brilliance, and composure under pressure to stage a spectacular 20-22, 21-14, 21-12 comeback victory against the tournament’s top seeds- Vojtech Strejcek and Lukas Thor, it said.
This prestigious international victory on European soil marks a significant milestone for Manipur Badminton and highlights the rising trajectory of the State’s badminton talent on the global stage, it said.
Rishav and Kyoveio have done the Nation and the State proud, it said while adding that defeating the tournament’s top seeds in a high stake international final demonstrates their exceptional temperament and world class potential.
Their victory is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the robust coaching ecosystem supporting the junior athletes, MSBA continued while congratulating the duo and their families for the spectacular win.
MSBA also extended its gratitude to the coaching staff, support personnel, and the Badminton Association of India for their continued support in nurturing the regional athletes to achieve global excellence.
