Addl CS inspects ISBT

IMPHAL, Jun 29: Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary (Transport) today inspected the ongoing construction works at the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Khuman Lampak.
Accompanied by officials of the Directorate of Transport and the Public Works Department (PWD), the Additional Chief Secretary observed that the drainage works are nearing completion, while the construction of the concrete roads is yet to commence.
The ceiling installation and other electrical works within the terminal building are also progressing, according to a press release issued by the Directorate of Transport.
The renovation and up-gradation works have been expedited following the re-commissioning of the ISBT in January 2026 by the Governor and the inspection conducted by the Chief Minister in February 2026. The Additional Chief Secretary emphasized that the remaining works should be completed within the stipulated timeline to enhance the convenience, safety and overall travel experience of the public availing inter-State bus services.
