IMPHAL, Jun 29 : Naga organisations have resolved to intensify their agitation against the killing of six Naga civilians, who were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei by Kuki groups.
The resolution was adopted during a joint meeting of the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), Tribe Hohos, Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA), and the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA).
As part of the decision, a supervisory committee has been constituted to closely monitor and strengthen the agitation, with a focus on preventing the inter-district movement of essential commodities, the NPO said today.
The frontal organisations of Senapati district-NPO, SDWA, and SDSA-have appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to the supervisory committee in the interest of the collective movement.
They warned that any individual or group found violating the agitation measures would face strict action, adding that no violations would be condoned under any circumstances.
The organisations also urged all Naga villages to remain vigilant in their respective areas to ensure effective implementation of the agitation. The NPO stated that the agitation would continue until justice is delivered for the “six Naga brothers” who were kidnapped from Leilon Vaiphei by 'Kuki narco-terrorist refugees' under the leadership of Lalboy Vaiphei, the village chief and later handed over to KNF-P, a Kuki militant group headed by Thangboi Kipgen.
