65th CC Meet : AIM, Sainik FC emerge as Group A and H winners

IMPHAL, Jun 7 : Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM), Khabam and Sainik FC, Tera emerged as the Group A and H winners with their final league stage wins in the Babina Group 65th Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE, Memorial Football Tournament 2025-26 today.
In the morning clash, AIM got the better of RFCC, Keinou by 4-2 goals for third straight Group A win and eventually emerged Group A winners.
Laishram Khorish (18’), Nongthombam Menaldo (83’), substitute Ningthoujam Dhanaraj (90+2’) and Ngangom Peter Singh (90+5’) were on target to set up AIM’s 4-2 victory as Khumanthem Bigson (70’) and Laishram Mangal (81’) scored a goal apiece for RFCC today.
In the second match and first Group H match of the day, SSC, Sekta beat ZSYC, Chandel by 3-2 goals. Yumnam Bikeshwor netted twice (16’, 41’) for SSC as Senjam Naocha scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.
With Thaokung Malchong Chothe (25’) scoring one and Thounaojam Wangthoi of SSC Sekta conceding an own goal in the 45th minute, the two sides were levelled on 2-2 before Naocha made the difference in the second half.
It was the second win for the Sekta side and eventually they finished Group H runners up behind Sainik FC, who played out a 1-1 draw with Yairipok FC later in the day, to remain unbeaten in the league round and amassed 7 points.
Yairipok FC drew first blood in the 23rd minute through Wangkheimayum Anish but Chirom Shinivash netted the equaliser in the 47th minute to salvage a point for Sainik FC.
