Makhan Village Authority condemns burning of field hut

Kangpokpi, Jun 7: The Makhan Village Authority has strongly condemned the alleged burning of a field hut belonging to a resident of Makhan village and has called for immediate measures to ensure peace and security in the area.
In a statement, the authority denounced the incident that occured on June 3, in which the field hut of Siwangbou Thiumai, a permanent resident of Makhan village, was reportedly set ablaze at a hillside location near the village. Describing the act as a serious provocation, the authority stated that the incident was an attack on the dignity, livelihood and security of the villagers.
The authority also issued a warning against unauthorized entry into the territory of Makhan village, stating that any individual, group or organisation entering the area without prior permission would be viewed as violating the vilalage's jurisdiction. It further asserted that unauthorized movements, militant infiltration and drone surveillance activities within the village and adjoining hill areas would not be tolerated. The authority appealed to all concerned parties to exercise restraint, uphold mutual respect and work collectively towards maintaining peace and order during the ongoing challenging situation.
