Minor girl hurt

IMPHAL, Jun 8: A minor girl sustained bullet injury on her buttock when unidentified persons fired some rounds of bullets at Kshetri Bengoon Mamang Ching, Imphal East under Porompat police station last night at around 10.30.
Sources said some people coming on two four-wheeler vehicles from the Baruni Hill range fired some rounds of bullets upon reaching Kshetri Bengoon Mamang Ching area .
Two of the bullets hit the wall of a house and another hit the buttock of a minor girl residing in the same house when she went toward the door of her house.
The minor victim has been identified as Pakpi (9 years) d/o of Imtiyas of Kshetri Bengoon Mamang Ching. Pakpi was immediately rushed to JNIMS Hospital and her condition is said to be stable. A team of Porompat police station also rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation before registering a case, said the sources.
