Three arrested

IMPHAL, Jun 30 : In a case related to hurling of hand grenades at a Brahmapur residence in Imphal East, police arrested three alleged active cadres of PREPAK from Sawombung area under Lamlai police station yesterday.
The three arrested have been identified as Sorokhai-bam Rohit Meitei alias Salai (24), Salam Yaiphaba Mei-tei alias Khajing (20) and a juvenile.
Investigation has established that out of a consignment of six hand grenades supplied to them by their handler, five have been hurled at different residential locations in Imphal East and Imphal West district. The two remaining grenades and two scooters which they used in the commission of the crimes have been recovered, said the police.
