IMPHAL, Jul 1: Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) General Secretary Luwangcha Ngamkheingakpa has written to the Prime Minister, urging immediate intervention to address terrorist activities of Kuki groups in Manipur.
In the letter, he alleged that various Kuki armed groups have been involved in terrorist activities and are responsible for grave acts of violence and the killing of innocent civilians during the ongoing crisis. Conduct impartial and time-bound investigation into all incidents of killings, abductions, torture and violence  and ensure all perpetrators of  such crimes are brought to justice, he further urged.
Additionally, the KKL appealed to the Prime Minister  to strengthen measures to protect the  lives, dignity and property of all citizens, irrespective of community and take effective steps to dismantle armed groups involved in unlawful and terrorist activities.
Demanding that urgent measures be initiated for the restoration of peace, communal harmony  and normalcy in Manipur, he urged the Prime Minister to reassure the people of Manipur that they enjoy the same Constitutional  protections and rights as every other citizen of the country.
