IMPHAL, Jul 9: Any negotiation that undermines the demand for justice for the 6 slain Nagas is unacceptable, and no party should engage in such negotiations or accept any Government offer without the knowledge and approval of all stakeholders, the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has said in a statement.
Justice for the six Nagas is non-negotiable. The ZUF will maintain strict vigil and may take appropriate action against any unauthorized or self-proclaimed negotiators whose actions compromise justice for the slain Nagas or the legitimate interests of the Zeliangrong people, it said.
The ZUF further said it rejects the apology issued by Kuki-Zo leaders regarding the killing of the six Nagas abducted from Leilon Vaiphei on May 13, and the use of the term "Kacha Naga."
All issues relating to illegal immigration, land encroachment, and exploitation of natural resources must be addressed through lawful and Constitutional means, it said.
It however warned that all illegal settlers must vacate Zeliangrong ancestral land immediately. Failing to vacate the land may attract strong actions, it added.
The Zeliangrong people's ancestral land, history, identity, culture, and customary rights are non-negotiable and must be fully protected, it said.
The ZUF is committed to defending the legitimate rights, ancestral land, natural resources, cultural heritage, dignity, identity, and territorial integrity of the Zeliangrong people, it added.
