IMPHAL, Jul 9: Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho has strongly condemned the ambush on a convoy of 40 Assam Rifles at Nungshang Khong along NH-202 in Ukhrul district by unidentified assailants on July 6, 2026 which resulted in the unfortunate death of two AR personnel.
Saying that the attack was a great setback to the peace efforts that have been put in place in the State, the Deputy Chief Minister asserted that the culprits responsible for the killings must be identified, tracked down, arrested and punished as per the law of the land.
Losii Dikho has also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
