"2027 elections crucial for Manipur's future"

IMPHAL, Jul 9: The upcoming 2027 elections will be very crucial for Manipur's future and as such, the INC will field deserving candidates who will work sincerely for the cause of the people and State, said MPCC Disciplinary Action Committee chairman Khumanthem Debabrata.
Speaking to reporters at his residence at Thangmeiband Kabrabam Leikai yesterday, Debabrata said the Congress will field a deserving candidate in the Thangmeiband AC.
The Congress leader said he will not contest the elections but help field and win a candidate who will work sincerely for the people of the Constituency and the State as a whole.
Many youths in Thangmeiband AC have expressed interest in joining the Congress party, he said.
The Assembly elections in 2017 will be very crucial for Manipur's future. People must support and vote consciously for candidates who will help bring a secular Government, he added.
