KUM raffirms 'neutral' stand

IMPHAL, Jul 11: A General Body Meeting of the Kom Union Manipur (KUM) has reaffirmed neutrality of the Kom community in the prevailing conflict in Manipur. "After due deliberation, the General Body unanimously resolved to reaffirm that the Kom community shall continue to uphold its long-standing principles of unity, integrity, neutrality, and peaceful coexistence," KUM said in a statement. The Kom community shall maintain its neutral stand and shall not be drawn into the present communal conflict. "This position reflects our sincere commitment to peace, communal harmony, and the well-being of all the people of Manipur," KUM said.
