MLCF Tripura announces awards

IMPHAL, Jul 13: The Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum (MLCF), Tripura, in association with Takhellei Tengbang Lup, has announced the recipients of various awards to be presented during the Manipuri Cultural Fest 2026 at Sukanta Academy Auditorium, Agartala, on July 26.
The biennial Babure Taramani Memorial National Award, presented to distinguished Manipuri personalities residing outside Tripura, will be conferred on noted writer and activist Musuksana Devi. The award carries a shawl, citation, memento and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
The Pukhrambam Ibeyaima Devi Ningsing Mana will be presented to renowned Nat Sankirtan singer and Rajdhari dance exponent Rajkumar Bramajit Singha of Tripura.
The MLCF Tripura Lifetime Achievement Award will be conferred on Khunung Eshei singer and dance Guru Khangrakpam Ongbi Bijayalaxmi Singha, while the Khoisnam Bangabir Memorial Young Talent Award will be presented to young Manipuri dancer Khumanthem Anima Singha.
The Khaidem Ningol Sagolshem Ongbi Achoubi Devi Ningsing Mana will be awarded to N Sneha Dutta and Ksh Nayanita Singha.
The Academic Laureate Award will be presented to N Anik Dutta and Kshetrimayum Niva Devi Academic Excellence Award will go to Tonjam Nilam Singha.
National-level bodybuilding gold medallist Dr Yelam Bimol Singha will also be honoured during the programme.
