Register for ABHA : Joykisan

IMPHAL, Jul 13 : Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has appealed to the people of his Constituency to register for the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) card and avail themselves of its benefits, including seamless access to healthcare services.
He made the appeal during an ABHA card registration camp organised by the Thangmeiband Ken-dra Development Organi- sation under the National Health Authority at the Khoyathong Multipurpose Community Hall today.
Addressing the function, Joykisan said the ABHA card enables individuals to securely store and access their digital health records, making it easier for healthcare providers to deliver timely and efficient treatment.
He also said that storing treatment details under an individual's ABHA card number is more secure, as the digital health records remain safely preserved even if physical medical documents are lost or destroyed due to incidents such as fire or floods.
Stating that illness can strike at any time, he appealed to the residents of Thangmeiband to register for ABHA cards and avail themselves of the benefits of the digital health initiative.
He further appealed to the people to avail themselves of the various health and wellness schemes introduced by the Government for the benefit of the public.
Yumnam Dhanendra, Lamphel Sub-Divisional Officer, said that an ABHA card must be created using the individual's Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
The card can be obtained either by registering online or by visiting an authorised ABHA registration centre, he added.
Saying that patients seeking treatment at RIMS and JNIMS may be asked to provide their ABHA card number, he added that the ABHA card is playing an increasingly important role in streamlining healthcare services.
