HC launches online dashboard

IMPHAL, Jul 13: In compliance with a directive from the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Manipur has launched an online dashboard for judgment/order log portal and MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal) unclaimed award portal.
M Sundar, Chief Justice, High Court of Manipur launched the online dashboard at a function held today at the High Court of Manipur Complex. Justice A Bimol Singh and Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, Judges of the High Court of Manipur and Ojesh Mutum, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur attended the function.
Ojesh Mutum, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur said that the MACT dashboard has enabled regular updating of information relating to compensation awarded under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court and presently lying unclaimed in the Motor Accident Claims Tribunals of the State of Manipur.
The initiative is expected to assist all stakeholders, including judicial officers, Court staff, litigants and the legal services authorities, in ensuring effective implementation of the directions issued by the Supreme Court for expeditious disbursement of compensation and reducing the instances of unclaimed compensation amounts, he said.
The judgment/order log portal, presently accessible through NICNET only, enables the stakeholders to not only access the web copies of judgments/orders passed by the High Court of Manipur but also indicates the exact time log of its uploading in the server so as to benefit the stakeholders towards computation of limitation period and for affording a more transparent accessibility to the judgments/orders passed by the High Court of Manipur, Ojesh Mutum said.
Kh Samarjit, Deputy Solicitor General of India, High Court of Manipur, senior members of the bar and other members of the bar, High Court Registry and other dignitaries were also present at the function.
