IMPHAL, Jul 14 : The State Platform of Disabled People’s Organisations (SPDPO), Manipur has condoled the sudden demise of disability rights activists and wheelchair basketball player- Chunchamliu Monica Gonmei.
Chunchamliu Monica Gonmei of Noney was an active member of the SPDPO who worked tirelessly towards the cause of the body and had been a wheelchair basketball player, said SPDPO in a release.
Her demise has left an irreplaceable void and will impact the disability rights movement, it said.
SPDPO also shared the grief of the bereaved family members and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
