State powerlifting team head to Maharashtra for National Masters C’ship

IMPHAL, Jul 15 : A 13-member team,including two officials of All Manipur Powerlifting Association have left Imphal today for the National Masters Classic and Equipped Powerlifting Championship 2026 to be hosted in Garkheda, Maharashtra from July 18 to 23.
The women athletes who were part of the team include Nameirakpam Devala (Masters 1: 57 kg), Huidrom Suni (Masters 2 : 52 kg), Sapam Memma (Masters 2 : 84 kg), Tensubam Sovini Devi (Masters 3 : 69 kg), Naoshekpam Bimola Leima (Masters 3 : 84 kg), Nena Maimom (Masters 3 : +84 kg), Th Kunjarani (Masters 4 : 76 kg) and Kangjam Ibemhal (Masters 4 : +84 kg).
The men’s squad meanwhile consist of Ashangbam John (Masters 1 : 74 kg), Md Amand (Master 1 : 93 kg), and  Kirankumar Kangjam (Master 3 : 59 kg).
The officials who are leading the team are Naorem Sushila as manager and Konsam Rosida as coach.
