Escorts demanded

JIRIBAM, Jul 15: Drivers of passenger vehicles have urged the Government to arrange regular security escorts for passenger vehicles on NH-37.
With no security escorts operating today, dozens of vehicles scheduled to depart for Tamenglong, Nungba, Noney and Jiribam were stranded at New Keithelmanbi, said sources.
A regular security escort arrangement could alleviate the difficulties passengers are facing and ensure safe and smooth operation of public transport, said drivers of the vehicles, seeking the Government's attention.
