IMPHAL, Jul 17 : The convenor of All Manipur Hindi Primary & Hindi Graduate Teacher Aspirants Group, Irom Pivershu, has urged the State Government to conduct the pending recruitment examination for Hindi teachers and fill the vacant posts in Government schools at the earliest.
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club on Friday, Pivershu said the Education (S) Department had issued a notification on March 11, 2024 for recruitment of 118 Hindi Primary and 210 Hindi Graduate teachers. However, more than 2 years have passed and the exam has not been conducted.
He said aspirants met the Director, who assured that preparations for the exam are underway and it will be conducted once Government approval is received. The group also met the Chief Minister, who gave a positive response.
Pivershu added that despite submitting several memoranda to authorities, no concrete response has been received.
He said the delay has left many trained and eligible candidates in uncertainty.
He urged the Government to hold the recruitment exam soon to ensure quality Hindi education in Government schools.
