NSS 81st round survey launched

IMPHAL, Jul 17: The National Sample Survey (NSS) 81st Round was officially launched in Manipur by Joint Secretary (Economics & Statistics) T Vei on July 15 in the presence of officers and staff of the Directorate of Economics & Statistics.
The launch was held at Shikhong Sekmai in Thoubal district for the Migration Particulars Survey, and at Malom Tuliyaima in Imphal West district for the All India Debt and Investment Survey (AIDIS) and the Situation Assessment Survey of Agricultural Households.
According to a release issued by the Director of Economics & Statistics, Manipur, the Directorate will conduct the State Sample surveys from July 2026 to June 2027 under the aegis of the National Statistics Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, which has been serving the nation since 1950.
