Arms, ammunition recovered

IMPHAL, Jun 2: Security forces recovered a large number of arms and ammunition from several places across Bishnupur, Chandel and Imphal East districts today.
The items recovered from the foothills of Kumbi Setupur near Sagolpat include one M-16 Rifle with magazine, one 9mm Pistol with magazine, three SBBL Guns, one Pompi, five Pompi bombs, four No 36 hand grenades, 32 live rounds of ammunition and three INSAS magazines.
The items recovered from Chaljang village area under Molcham PS include one AK 56 Assault Rifle, five magazines, 10 Single Bore Rifles, five radio sets and two 12 mm Gauge Shotguns. The items recovered from Wakha Ching area under Porompat PS include two .32 Pistols, one 12 Bore Pump Action SBBL, one Double Barrel Gun, one Single Barrel Gun, five hand grenades, three grenade detonators, one Lathode shell, two Mortar HE bombs etc.
