Premkumar Boxing Academy’s boxing ring inaugurated

Kakching, Jul 2 : A boxing ring of Premkumar Boxing Academy was today inaugurated in a solemn function at Langmeidong in Kakching district.
Former Deputy Director of SAI and Dronacharya Awardee (boxing coach) Leishangthem Ibomcha, local body representatives and social workers attended the inaugural function of the boxing ring that will boost the grassroots development and youth engagement in the region.
Speaking at the occasion, legendary boxing coach Leishangthem Ibomcha encouraged youth athletes to take boxing and all other sports seriously. Athletes should work tirelessly with discipline in order to make their marks in the National and International arena and bring home pride and laurels, he said.
He also suggested the young coaches share their inspiring real life experiences and struggles to the budding athletes to help them understand the fruit of hard work and perseverance.
Exhibition boxing bouts were also showcased during the programme.
