DC CCpur inspects schools

CHURACHANDPUR, Jul 21(DIO): Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar on Tuesday conducted surprise inspections of three government schools in Churachandpur district to assess their academic functioning and overall performance.
The DC visited Kumbipukhri High School, Koite; Gandhi Memorial Government High School, Molnom; and Tuibuong Government High School, Tuibong. He was accompanied by ADC Seiminthang Lenthang, ZEO Esther Chingneikim and other officials.
During the inspections, the DC reviewed the availability of clean drinking water and functional toilet facilities, implementation of the PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) scheme, cleanliness and sanitation measures, and classroom infrastructure, including lighting and fans, to ensure a conducive learning environment for students.
Krishna Kumar also interacted with students in their classrooms, assessed their learning levels through questions and observed the teaching-learning process.
Emphasising the importance of quality education and academic excellence, the DC directed headmasters and teaching staff to strengthen classroom instruction, improve learning outcomes and ensure that students receive education in a conducive environment. He stressed the need for regular monitoring of academic performance and urged teachers to adopt effective teaching methods to enhance students’ understanding and overall development.
ZEO Esther Chingneikim and her staff were instructed to ensure strict compliance with the directives.
Later in the day, the DC inspected the ongoing construction of the new College of Nursing building near Churachandpur District Hospital.
The inspection was attended by CMO Henkhoneng Mate, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Sania Monica and other officials.
Krishna Kumar reviewed the progress of the construction work and stressed the need for timely completion of the project.
