State lad presents presents research findings at IACCP 2026

IMPHAL, Jul 21 : Moirangthem Netalion (Toyai), a young scholar from Manipur, successfully presented his research at the prestigious IACCP 2026 Conference.
The international academic event was hosted at KU Leuven in Belgium from July 14 to 18.
A post-graduate in Psychology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Netalion presented a highly relevant paper titled, "Rethinking Integration: Identity, Acculturation, and Adaptation in Ethnic Conflict among the Meitei and Kuki-Zo Communities in Manipur."
The research, which offers an in-depth, psychological analysis of the current socio-political climate in the State, was conducted under the supervision of Dr Shabana Bano and Dr Chiinngaikim Guite at BHU.
He is currently awaiting admission to the doctoral research programme at the same university.
Netalion is the second son of acclaimed folk lyricist and 'Sana Herachandra 2025' awardee, Moirangthem Indrajit Moirang (MM Meiraba, National vice President Rashtrhit Sarvopari Sangthan), and Moirangthem ongbi Khuraijam Sundari Leima.
While the family originally hails from Ething Sendra Chingkhong in Bishnupur District, they currently reside at Uripok Sorbon Thingel in Imphal West. Netalion is currently still in Belgium.
