Journey of Dr Dhabali beyond the lab told in print

IMPHAL, Jul 22: An autobiography and a biography of Dr Thangjam Dhabali Singh, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Babina Group of Companies were released at Hotel Classic Grande this evening.
Dr Dhabali’s autobiography “Microscope to Mile- stones : A Pathologist’s Journey Beyond the Lab” is written in English while the biography “Korougi Man-gal” by Lourembam Oren- kumar is written in Manipuri (Bengali script and Meitei Mayek).
Speaking at the gathering, Dr Dhabali said that he wrote the book based on certain memorable events and episodes he encountered in his life.
“I wanted to write a simple memoir but I never thought of writing such a book or autobiography”, he  said.
“I wrote the book not because I’m famous or knowledgeable. Nonetheless, today I’ve published a comprehensive book of 340 pages with the support of well wishers and friends”, Dr Dhabali said.
The autobiography contains seven chapters and each chapter has seven to 11 articles. In total, the book has 56 articles.
Dr Dhabali also gave a brief account of his life history starting from his childhood, joining the medical profession, development of a comprehensive diagnostic centre from a clinical laboratory, entry into the hospitality sector and establishment of a super speciality hospital.
Each and every person has their own stories although many could not or don’t try to write them down, he said.
Dr Dhabali also conveyed gratitude to all the people who helped in writing and publishing the book.
Senior journalist Pradip Phanjoubam spoke on Dr Dhabali’s autobiography while Lourembam Orenkumar gave an introduction of his biography.
Former MLA and RIMS Director Prof Ng Bijoy, DMU ex-Vice Chancellor Prof N Rajmuhon and IIIT Manipur Director Prof Krishnan Baskar attended the function as presidium members.
