NVG, JTCM condemn

IMPHAL, Jul 22: The Western Command, Naga Village Guard and the Joint Tribes' Council have vehemently condemned alleged attack by ZUF (J) on "own Naga Village Guard" safeguarding Bitiang (Laphok) village in Noney district.
It was not merely an attack but an act of "genocidal war against our own indigenous" people, said the Western Command Naga Village Guard in a statement today, issuing "martial directives."
Every Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, and Inpui citizen are hereby ordered to adopt a posture of total resistance. There is no neutral ground. Hesitation will be treated as complicity, it said.
Any individual, family, clan, or village authority that extends any form of aid, comfort, logistical support, or safe passage to the narco-terrorist Kuki intruders or their allies will be immediately declared hostile combatants. There is no sanctuary for traitors within the sacred boundaries of "our territories," said the Naga Village Guard.
"We issue a stark and final ultimatum to those who harbor sympathies for the aggressors : Repent and sever all ties with the enemy immediately, or face the full wrath of the Naga Village Guard defence forces. The Western Command will treat any act of alignment with the invaders as an act of high treason against the collective Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, and Inpui communities," it continued.
The time for political talk is over. The Western Command will exercise extreme prejudice against collaborators. Scorched-earth tactics will be employed. "We will not differentiate between foreign attacker and domestic conspirator," it added.
In a separate statement, the Joint Tribes Council Manipur (JTCM) said it strongly condemns the recent arson and the brutal attacks allegedly carried out by the ZUF (J) against "our own indigenous Naga Village Guard".
"These acts of aggression are not only cowardly but represent a direct assault on the peace, safety, and integrity of our territorial boundaries during this highly volatile and unrest period," it said.
All individuals, organizations, and village authorities within "our territories" must stand firmly with the JTCM and the communities of the Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui against these heinous acts, it said.
Any individual or group refusing the call or offering solace, support, or safe passage to narco-terrorist Kuki elements will be viewed as hostile actors, it added.
The JTCM will treat any alignment with the intruders and collaborators as an act of betrayal against "our people." The council will take all necessary measures against any individual, family, or village found to be aiding, abetting, or sympathizing with the enemy, and treat such actions as a declaration that they are against the collective survival of "our indigenous population," it said.
The council urged community members to remain vigilant, united, and resolute, and called on authorities concerned to take immediate action to curb the violence.
