Durand Cup security meet

IMPHAL, Jul 23: The Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police held a joint security coordination meeting at Khuman Lampak Sport Complex here today and reviewed security arrangements for the successful conduct of the Imphal chapter of the 135th IndianOil Durand Cup.
The meeting brought together senior officials from all stakeholder agencies to deliberate on security deployment, intelligence sharing, traffic management, venue security, emergency response, logistics, medical support and spectator facilitation.
The Indian Army highlighted the Durand Cup’s legacy as India’s oldest football tournament and a symbol of sporting excellence, youth engagement and National integration.
All participating agencies reaffirmed their commitment to integrated planning, effective information sharing and a unified security framework for the smooth conduct of the tournament.
