Hockey Manipur mourns demise of N Ibetombi

IMPHAL, Jul 25 : Hockey Manipur has condoled the demise of one of the women’s hockey pioneers of the State and its life member Ningthoujam Ibetombi on July 20 at her Brahmapur Nahabam residence.
The association members convened a condolence meeting and observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, said Hockey Manipur in a release.
Her contributions as a player since 1950 and as a functionary were fondly recalled, it said while also sharing the grief with the bereaved family members.
