IMPHAL, Jul 26: BJP MLA Leishangthem Susindro (Yaima) has categorically stated that he must walk out of the Government if it does not act in line with the people’s wish and aspirations.
The MLA was speaking at the general body meeting of Leishangthem Sagei Apunba Lup and felicitation of meritorious students held at Khurai Sajor Leikai today.
Susindro who served as a Minister under the N Biren Government categorically said that he is not a part of the incumbent Government even though he is a member of the ruling party. He went on to claim that BJP’s ‘graph’ was good enough when he was a part of the Government.
The ‘graph’ remained good even during the President’s Rule but it has now vanished under the incumbent Government, he said. Susindro said that the BJP’s graph dropped after the incumbent Government failed to live up to the people’s expectations.
Pointing out that the State’s indigenous people have been suffering a lot, Susindro said that illegal immigrants are steadily overwhelming the indigenous people.
He also underscored the urgent need for collective actions to protect the indigenous people.
