IMPHAL, Jul 26: Denouncing deplorable conditions of roads in and around Palace Compound, street vendors blocked half of Konung Mamang road in protest today.
Pureiromba Konung Mamang Keithel president S Nomita said the roads in and around Palace Compound are in pathetic conditions and filled with potholes.
The condition of the roads have deteriorated due to rain, inconveniencing the commuters, she said.
During rainfall, the roads are sludgy, and dusty when it is not raining, posing health risk, she added, appealing to the local MLA to repair the road at the earliest.
The road will be closed further if no positive actions are taken up to repair the roads, she said.
