Dr Saratchandra to contest from Yaiskul AC

IMPHAL, Jul 3 : Retired Associate Professor Dr Brahmacharimayum Saratchandra Sharma will contest the upcoming 13th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from Yaiskul AC, it was announced today.
At a public meeting held at his Palace Compound residence near Advance Hospital, locals from every polling station unanimously declared Dr Saratchandra as their candidate.
Social worker Ngangbam Rajendro and Thoidingjam Muhindro attended as chief guest and function president.
Dr Saratchandra, who served 30 years as HoD of Political Science in various colleges, said he is contesting with the goal of “Together for a stronger, prosperous and progressive Yaiskul”.
He criticized the BJP-led Government for neglecting youth welfare, unemployment, and failing to resolve the State’s 3-year-long crisis.
A campaign committee has been formed and canvassing has begun in all polling areas of Yaiskul AC.
