1st MNCA Women’s U19 T20 Trophy FORCE roll into semis with 9-wicket thrashing of YPHUC

IMPHAL, Jul 5 : FORCE, Kshetrigao outplayed YPHUC, Lalambung by 9 wickets for the third win in four Group A matches of the 1st MNCA Women’s U19 T20 Trophy.
With the third win at THAU ground, FORCE finished Group A runners up and joined AKSDO in the semis.
YPHUC won the toss and opted to bat first but their innings turned disastrous and culminated at 40/8 with Rahamatun (3/4 in 4 overs) and Barkatun Khanam (2/7 in 4 overs) giving them a torrid time. FORCE then rode on Barkatun Khanam’s leading knock of 22 runs (22 not out off 15 balls) to seal the victory within 5.2 overs with 9 wickets to spare.
Sumeiya Shahni (11 off 13 balls) and Barkatun gave FORCE a prolific start by adding 30 runs for the first wicket until Suchitra Waikhom bowled out Sumeiya in the 1st delivery of the 5th over.
Barkatun and Kh Rukshad however fired FORCE to the target by adding 11 runs in the next 7 deliveries.
Rahamatun who shone with the ball for FORCE, was adjudged player of the match.
