State Subroto Cup Meitei Mayek High School, Langjing High School script landslide wins

IMPHAL, Jul 8 : Meitei Mayek High School, Imphal East and Langjing High School, Imphal West secured comprehensive wins league stage wins in the U-17 girls competition of the ongoing State Level Inter School Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament at Langjing Achouba Football Turf.
In a Group B competition, Meitei Mayek High School demolished Kakching team Iramdam Maheikol by 12-0 goals courtesy of 4 goals from Th Martina (3’, 18’, 24’, 38’).
L Russia (1’, 6’), K Asha (16’), Maxina Ph (40’), T Linthoi (47’), and A Roshina (49’) were also on target for the winners as S Lanchenbi (8’) and Th Nibeta (32’) of Iramdam Maheikol, Langmeidong fumbled and netted in their own net.
Later in a Group A encounter, M Narmada scored 4 goals to guide Langjing High School to a 10-0 win over Chil Chil Asian Mission School, Kangpokpi district.
M Narmada opened the floodgate 3 minutes into the game before adding three more goals in the 6th, 39th and the 45th minutes.
Rinchuila G (23’) and N Luxmi (26’) also netted a goal apiece in the first half to make it 4-0 before K Gunjan (57’, 60’) and Miraluxmi (59’) contributed 3 goals in the second half that also saw T Bachamsalu (53’) of Chil Chil Asian Mission School conceding an own goal.
U-17 Boys
The day also saw ASUFII Christian Institute, Senapati and CT Higher Secondary School, Imphal West sharing a point apiece following a goalless draw in a Group A match for the boys.
The Group B match between TG English School, representing Bishnupur district and AG Memorial Academy, representing Thoubal district also ended in a goalless draw.
