'World Migratory Bird Day' observed at Tbl

Thoubal, Oct 12: Central Forest Division in association with Thoubal Forest Division jointly organized "World Migratory Bird Day 2019" at Tekcham in Thoubal District today.
The function was attended by Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF TP-I), Th Mohendra Pratap; DFO Central Forest, RK Amarjit; DFO Thoubal, Debala Laiphrakpam; ACF Thoubal Division, Vaneichong Singson; Praveen Kumar Nigam IFS (Prob); RO Thoubal, S Samungou; RO Kakching, N Iboyai Singh and Principal Khongjom Standard English School, Samananda as presidium members.
As part of the function organzied on the theme “Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution”, a cycle rally carrying the message of "Protect migratory birds and stop killing of migratory birds" was flagged off by Chief Conservator of Forest TP-I (CCF), Th Mohendra Pratap from the office of Ningsing Lup, Tekcham and passed through Lousipat, Sora, Irengban, Kakching Bazar and culminated at Kakching Range office at Kakching Lamkhai.
Placard which read as "Birds are Nature's Gifts", "Birds are Farmers Friends", "Stop Hunting Migratory Bird", "Lend a Hand to Save Birds", "Migratory Birds Need our Protection", "Birds are Nature's Own Pest Control", "World Without Birds Would be Silent and Colourless" and "Nature is for Us Are we for Nature" were used in the rally.
The function was also attended by BO Pallel Md Sallaoddin; BO Yairipok M Biren; Wildlife Warden Thoubal W Ramchandra and students.
