CM greets on Mera Houchongba

Imphal, Oct 12:  Chief Minister N Biren has greeted the people of Manipur on the joyous occasion of Mera Houchongba, 2019.
In his message, the CM conveyed that Mera Hou-chongba is the only aged old common customary and traditional festival of all ethnic communities of Manipur which is celebrated on the full moon of Mera as per the Manipuri lunar calendar.
The essence of this festival is to promote brother- hood, peace, solidarity and unity among various indigenous communities living in the State since time immemorial, said N Biren and prayed for the festival to strengthen the ties between the people of the hills and valley of Manipur.
