IMPHAL, Oct 15: Scottish rock band Nazareth which would perform on the opening night of Shirock 2019 tomorrow arrived here today.
Notably, Shirock 2019 is a part of the Shirui Lily festival.
Speaking to media persons at Hotel Imphal this evening, bassist Pete Agnew, who has been a member of Nazareth since the band was established in 1968, said that they would present 16 songs at Bakshi Ground, Ukhrul tomorrow evening.
Guitarist Jimmy Murrison, drummer Lee Agnew and vocalist Carl Sentance were also present at the press meet.
In addition, Tourism Corporation of Manipur Chairman Dr Sapam Ranjan, Shirui Lily Festival 2019 (Entertainment Section) chairman MLA Alfred S Kangam Arthur and Manipur Tourism Director W Ibohal too attended the press meet.
Incidentally, 22 rock bands would compete in the Shirock 2019 which would continue till October 19 and 13 soloists would compete in the ‘Voice-the solo hunt’.
