Okendro named MPCC chief

IMPHAL, Oct 23: Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed ex-Minister Moirangthem Okendro as president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee today.
M Okendro is son of late M Ibotombi. He was elected Member of Manipur Legislative Assembly from Heirok Constituency four times (1995, 2000, 2007 and 2012). He was born on March 23, 1966.
With this appointment, he replaced veteran Congress leader Gaikhangam to head the MPCC.
