HISU, RPU emerge victorious in Tbl Super Division League

IMPHAL, Oct 5 : HISU thrashed SYDA 5-1 and RPU edged past YWC  2-1 in today's matches of the ongoing Super Division Football League Tournament organised DFA Thoubal.
In the second match of the tournament played at Wangkhem playground, RPU's H Lalit scored the winner in the second half after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw during the first half.
L Rishikanta hit the opener in the 17th minute to put RPU ahead but M Naren helped YWC equalised the margin in the 37th minute and made it 1-1 draw till the break. Both teams were evenly poised in the second half as well but a goal by H Lalit in the 54th minute gave RPU all three points.
Meanwhile, Dhanabir scored four goals on trot at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School playground to hand HISU a 5-1 win against SYDA.
Dhanabir found the net early in the 6th minute and banged in three more goals (28', 29', 36' ) minute to give HISU a comfortable 4-0 lead till the break as SYDA never looked in contest. After the restart, Ronaldo rounded off the scoring in the 50th minute of the match to give his team an unassailable 5-0 lead.
AK Kishan however scored a face saving goal for SYDA in the 78th minute of the match and made it 1-5 at the end of the match.
