10th State level Children's cultural meet

IMPHAL, Oct 5 : The 10th State level Children's cultural meet 2019 was organised by Manipur Alliance for Child Rights at the auditorium of Tribal Research Institute, Chingmeirong on October 5.
Titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba graced the function as the chief guest while Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights former chairperson S Saratkumar Sharma, Child Rights & You (CRY) Kolkata associate general Ashim Ghosh and Manipur Alliance for Child Rights convenor Montu Ahanthem were also present as dignitaries of the function.
Manipur Alliance for Child Rights presented awards to NAB Additional SP Thounaojam Brinda, Child Welfare Committee Imphal West chairperson Thiyam Rajkishor, ZEO, zone-III Thoubal Arambam Anilkumar and Imphal Times Editor Rinku Khumukcham as part of the function.
Different activities and events were also showcased and many performance were given by students.
Speaking at the function as the chief guest, titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba said that the definition of Manipur is not confined only to Raas Leela, Lai Haraoba dance and rituals but rather the combination of varied cultures of all the communities in the State which best defines Manipur.
It is a good thing that children from different communities are taking part in the cultural programme, he remarked.
