Humane Initiatives, Manipur arranges blood for patient

Imphal, Nov 2: Proving that humanity still exists in the society, a 14 year boy from Senapati District who is currently undergoing treatment at CMC Hospital, Koirengei, Imphal for Scrub Typhus infection received blood for platelet transfusion donated by one Sanju Tayenjam with all the required arrangement made by Humane Initiatives, Manipur in coordination with Head of Department, Blood Bank and Transfusion Unit, JNIMS Dr Surjit Konsam, said a statement issued by Humane Initiatives, Manipur.
The boy has been identified as Vingaopu and is in dire need of platelet transfusion as his platelet count extensively went below normal range.
A team of Humane Initiatives, Manipur led by Convenor Amom Jenil Khuman made the required arrangement for blood after the patient party sought help as the condition of the boy got worsen due to low platelet counts.
In the statement, Convenor Amom Jenil Khuman said that the organization has been continously extending all the possible help to the needy people in all these years irrespective of religion and community and sought support from the public in its endeavor.
