FEGOCTA to boycott undergraduate semester exams

IMPHAL, Nov 23: Govt teachers' are boycotting the coming undergraduate semester examinations,  FEGOCTA (Federation of Govt College Teachers' Association, Manipur) said today as it continued its cease work strike for the fourth day demanding implementation of the 7th Pay Commission.  On the sideline of a protest at Imphal College today, FEGOCTA vice president Khuraijam Mohon Singh said that the cease work strike was called as the Govt refused to take up positive actions before the Nov 4 deadline  the association served. Despite the assurances given to them on two occasions, the Govt is yet to take up any visible actions for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, he said. The undergraduate semester examinations are scheduled to begin from November 28.
