WFC draw 1-1 with Pioneer in Audacious Cup Soccer tourney

IMPHAL, Nov 25: Audacious  Cup, a 7 A-Side Village Open Football  tournament organised by Audacious Group Ningthounai (AGN), began yesterday at Yairipok Ningthounai playground. Altogether 30 teams, clubbed together in 8 groups, are participating in the tourney.
In today's Group-A fixture, Wangkhem FC (WFC), Wangkhem and Pioneer, Angtha played out a 1-1 draw. Daniel opened the account for the Angtha team 3 minutes into the game while Malaysia fired home the equaliser for WFC during the additional time (50+2').
In another Group-A encounter, YBIC Bamon Leikai beat Ningthoukhong FC-A by 3-0 goals  riding on goals from Shakir (9'), Ajmir (20+3', 32').
The day also saw PUB-G Angtha defeated CSWC, Chandrakhong by 2-0 in the only Group-C fixture  staged today.
The winning goals for the Angtha team were contributed by K Premananda (17') and N Bimol Singh (37').
It may be mentioned here that the host team AGN Ningthounai had sealed a comfortable 4-2 win against ELYSA, Phoudel in the opening match (Group-B ), yesterday.
