Kakching Police seize heroin, opium

KAKCHING, Nov 7: Kakching Police  seized 210 grams of heroin and 908 grams of opium Wednesday.
Police, while conducting frisking and checking at around  4:30 pm Wednesday at Sora Khunuda area in Kakching, signalled a motorist to stop his vehicle. He sped off and the police chased him to Pallel bazar area where  he threw away a bag and escaped. 15 soap cases of heroin number 4 weighing 210 grams, and 908 grams of opium were found inside the bag, said police. One Aadhaar Card under the name T Mangsat Haokip (19), s/o T Khuplet Haokip of K Savumpa village, Chandel dist was also found inside the bag. A case has been registered at Kakching PS, said police.
