Poppy plantation razed

IMPHAL, Dec 12 : A combined team of Narcotic and Affairs of Border and Chandel district police destroyed 75 acres of poppy plantation at Hengmol village today morning under Chakpikarong police station.
According to a reliable source, the destruction of the illegal poppy plantation at Hengmol village located some 30 kilometers southeast from Chakpikarong police station was carried out by a combined team under the supervision of W Basu SP, NAB Manipur
More than 75 acres of illegal poppy cultivation which can yield more the  750 kilograms of Opium were destroyed by the combined team.
