PTA Taekwondo players excel in 4th All India Open Int'l Taekwondo C'ships

IMPHAL, May 16 : State Taekwondo players excelled in the 4th All India Open International Taekwondo Championships which was held from May 6 to 8 at Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi and brought home handful of medals in different categories and events.
L Meghabarna Singh won gold in Poomsae, senior individual U-60 while Sh Rojesh Singh, K Jimson Singh and Christopher  Phaomei won silver, bronze and bronze respectively in Poomsae, senior boys individual U-30.
In group Poomsae event for senior boys, the trio K Jimson Singh, Sh Rojesh Singh and Christopher  Phaomei bagged gold.
T Bheigyashree Devi bagged gold in Kyorugi-sub junior girls U-22 Kg and bronze in Poomsae-individual while Kh Quama Chanu settled with silver in Kyorugi-sub junior girls O-32 Kg whereas in Poomsae-individual and pair event, she won gold.
A Rajlakshmi finished with bronze in Poomsae-sub junior girl while L Rohit Meitei bagged silver in Kyorugi-sub junior boys U-25 Kg, silver and gold in Poomsae-individual and group respectively.
Sanachand N finished with bronze in Kyorugi-sub junior boys U-27. He also won bronze in Poomsae-individual and in Poomsae group while Sh Borish Sharma settled with silver in Kyorugi-sub junior boys U-35 Kg.
