Kakching FC ease past Ayangleima FC in 2nd SDAU Trophy opener

IMPHAL, Jun 17 : Kakching FC romped past Ayangleima FC, Tentha 3-0 in the opening match of the 2nd SDAU Trophy 2019 being organised by SDAU, Tekcham at Tekcham High School Ground.
The opening (Group A) league match of the tournament, which is featuring a total of 22 teams clubbed into 7 Groups  , saw Kakching FC pick up the pace in the second half to score all three goals of the match for a brilliant start.
The first half witnessed both teams toil hard to make their statement clear and shared almost equal possession and scoring chances but ended without any goals being scored on the either due to lack in composure and intent.
The game however took an huge turn in the second half as Kakching FC shifted gears and it was Anilkumar who put the team ahead in the 41st minute before Sanjiv doubled the advantage in the 47th minute with a precise strike.
Kakching FC onlaught continued as Ayangleima FC did not show their intent for a comeback and the former got their third goal in the 51st minute through Anupam. The scoreline remained unchanged till the final whistle and helped the Kakching side walked away with all three points.
Langathel FC will meet Wangjing FC in the Group B opener tomorrow at 1.30 pm.
