IMPHAL, Jun 17: With the political crisis besieging the State dragging on for days, the powerful Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has advised BJP Central leaders to go with the wish of BJP MLAs of the State.
Notably, a large number of BJP MLAs have been camping at Delhi demanding replacement of Chief Minister N Biren.
On the other hand, a key figure in the rebel camp, Th Biswajit is also expected to return tomorrow and a well  placed source in the BJP  said that the Central leadership of the BJP may soon thrash out a solution to the impasse.
As the MLAs’ demand is very specific and quite clear, many feel that the political crisis cannot be resolved without removing N Biren from the Chief Minister’s chair. As such, many bodies including RSS which are in a position to advise BJP have asked BJP Central leaders to go with the MLAs’ wish so as to save the BJP-led coalition Government, sources said.
BJP Central leaders have also deliberated on the State’s crisis several times.
In the meantime, Chief Minister N Biren as well as his rival camp have met many BJP Central leaders and talked about the crisis at length.
Earlier, out of the State’s 21 BJP MLAs, 17 submitted  a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National president Amit Shah demanding removal of N Biren from the Chief Minister’s chair.
The two rival camps have been still camping at Delhi and they have been meeting many Central leaders to win them on to their respective sides.
Despite Chief Minister N Biren's efforts to secure an appointment with BJP National president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today no appointment was granted till late evening.
The rival camp has already made it clear to all Central leaders they have met that they would not raise any objection when the BJP high command appoints any legislator as the Chief Minister in place of N Biren.
The Parliament session is on and will go on till July 26.
