Prayer meets

SENAPATI, Jun 17 : In an ‘emergency’ meeting held on Monday, the United Naga Council (UNC), the Naga Women Union (NWU) and the All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) have “agreed that tribe hohos shall organise prayer programmes on June 18 at 11 am at their respective offices for the settlement of the Indo-Naga peace process at the earliest “based on the unique history of the Nagas and situation”, reports NNN.
Another point of the prayer programmes is for the strict adherence to the ceasefire ground rules by the NSCN and the Government of India so as “to let peace prevail in the region including Indo-Myyanmar  Naga areas international border". The UNC, the ANSAM and the NWU said that the ‘tribe hohos’ will also pray so that a Shihai village like incident is not repeated in future.
The three Naga organisations said that the June 18 prayer programmes are also to strengthen “unity among all communities and individuals”.
