IE Subroto Football: Extra time goal earn UMA U14 Boys title

IMPHAL, Jun 24 : A late extra time goal by S Annaroy helped Unique Model Academy (UMA) seal a 2-1 win against Free Progress Academy and lifted the U-14 Boys title at the District Level Inter School Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament organised by District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, Imphal East at Turf Ground.
Unique Model Academy started the game on a positive note as Y Mahesh found the lead early in the 2nd minute of the match and they almost finish the game with the same scoreline but M Billaden earned Free Progress Academy the equaliser in the last minute of the match (50'). Eventually an extra time of 10 minutes (5 minutes each half) were added on to settle the winners and the two sides were on level terms until S Annaroy made a brilliant effort count in the 9th minute and made it 2-1 in favour of UMA.
The win meant that UMA will be representing Imphal East in the State level Subroto Mukerjee Football tournament.
