PRO clarifies

IMPHAL, Jun 30
Claiming that a daily has "misquoted"  a statement of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Speaker Y Khemchand Singh on Inner Line Permit (ILP), Yumkham Shantalal Singh, PRO cum Personal Secretary to Speaker contended that the "Speaker didn't make any comment against the interest of the people of the State".
The Speaker did said that he will consult with the Chief Minister on the needs to introduce  a land law, beside ILP, that is suitable with the State, said Yumkham Shantalal Singh and expressed disappointment that such a issue has surfaced after the Manipur People’s Protection Bill was passed in June 23, last year and sent for India Government's approval.
